This for some unknown reason is the ugly sister of music.

Musical Theory for the piper is NOT difficult, as on the bagpipe, we do not need to consider "sharps" or "flats" or numerous scales.

So it comes down to this : if you can add 2 + 2 and get 4 then you will easily master these lessons.

As far as the terms are concerned: use them when you are practising i.e. instead of saying that "I am going to play the bit of music between those two lines" try saying "I am going to play that bar": it takes less time and so gives you more breath for blowing!

Approach these lessons with anticipation not fear.
